Ty, thanks for the shoutout. I appreciate it, and I hope that all of your listeners who are writers or who want to be writers will give us a listen. As for my show, it's really just about writing in general. All of the hosts are novel and short story writers, but we're interested in all forms of writing, be it for the screen, for comics, for games, or for the page. Good stories can be had in all those forms, and writing is the basis for those stories.

As for me, I'm in the middle of writing my second novel. It's part of a trilogy, and the first book is being edited by one of the other hosts of my show, Terry. Once he's done, I'll give it a final review and then start shopping it around while I continue working on book two. I'm aiming to finish that one by year's end so that Ican start on book three in January. Let's hope that holds true.

Anyway, great new episode. I'm not a military shooter fan at all, though I have enjoyed CoD4 quite a bit. Usually, if it doesn't have lasers or crossbows in it, I'm not interested. I only picked up CoD4 because of the overwhelming good buzz. And, really, I'm not all that big on online play since I'm old and feeble and can't keep up with the twitch reflexes of the young. I do like to play Gears of War online with friends, and I can't wait for GoW 2 to hit.

Oh, and as for Statham, I can't believe you didn't mention The Transporter, his best film. He really should have played Agent 47 in the Hitman movie.

You're most certainly welcome Justin. While our show is a gaming podcast, we intend to cover a lot of other fields in the entertainment industry, and podcasts are one of them. I'll be adding a link to your website to the Doomcast website, and announcing Dead Robots as a podcast officially endorsed by us on the Doomcast forums as well in the coming days. All of this would have been taken care of sooner, but with the hurricanes and all, there just wasn't any time for it. We're gonna start running your promo on episode 8!

And for all the other podcast hosts here on Geek Lounge, if you guys have some promos you'd like to send to run on our show, by all means send them. We take pride in helping promote other podcasters, and I'm more than willing to help any of you in any way I can. :)

I also want to let you guys know that the Doomcast website and forums are back up! So if you'd like a new place to visit, come sign up and talk about games, movies, shows, sports, comics...whatever you like!

Went ahead and took care of those things for you Justin. You now have a link to your site on the Doomcast website, and a thread in our forums advertising the podcast. :)

Ty, that's great. I'll make sure and do the same at our site. I also put your promo in our latest episode (#49). Just give me a holler whenever you want me on the show. Oh, and I hope the hurricane didn't treat you too badly.

Thanks for running the promo Justin...much appreciated! Here's some feedback for you:

"Hey guys, I'm a new listener to DRS and I'm really enjoying the show so far. The audio/production quality is excellent, which is something I always look for when searching for new podcasts to listen too. You guys are also very educated on the subject matter, and the podcast is very informative. I especially enjoyed your most recent episode where you talk about mystery and suspense. These are my favorite type of books to read. You referenced Dean Koontz several times, whom I like. I've read two of his books, "Cold Fire" and "Seize the Night," both of which I thoroughly enjoyed, and recommend. Well, that's all for now, thanks for a great podcast and keep up the good work!"

Ty, thanks a lot. Can I ask you guys for a favor, a favor I'm more than happy to reciprocate? Can you put a nice review up for the Dead Robots' Society in iTunes?

Also, I will read your feedback in our next episode (not the one that will be available this Sunday, but the one AFTER that - I've already edited together this week's show).

Consider it done. I probably wont be able to get to it tonight, have to start editing our next episode as soon as Supernatural goes off (commercial break right now), and that's gonna take me a while. But I'll get to it no later than tomorrow. Thanks in advance for leaving us a review as well. We're still waiting to get the all important first one, so hopefully this will get more people to leave us a review. :)

Is Doomcast part of the, or going to be part of, the Geek Lounge?

I can't believe you guys haven't played Pirates! What a fantastic game. I've sunk countless hours into it.

Oh, and I HATED Assassin's Creed. I fully anticipated loving it, but it just bored me to tears, and it felt so empty and boring. One of the only dissappointments I've had this generation. Ugh.

And thanks for playing the promo!

I wasn't intending to ask because I didn't want to intrude on what you guys started. But if the invitation is extended, we will certainly accept. And don't forget we have forums over at the Doomcast website, and you are all certainly welcome to sign up and chat with us there too. :)

If you ever decide to start playing PotBS again Justin let me know. I always have this game in the back of my mind and playing it again is not out of the realm of possibilities. I certainly see why a lot of people didn't care for Assassin's Creed, and I agree that there could have been a lot more to it, but I still liked it. :)

To be clear, The Geek Lounge is entirely a creation of Dave and Tim. They asked if I wanted to include the Dead Robots' Society in with it, and at the time I declined because I thought that we would be joining the Far Point Network. I'm still not sure what's going on with that. But, I am happy to be associated with The Geek Lounge, and with all of you. If you want to join your show with theirs, I'm sure they would be happy to do so.

No, I meant Sid Meier's Pirates! I played the original version of it WAY back in the day (we're talking the mid to late 80's here).

I certainly see why a lot of people didn't care for Assassin's Creed, and I agree that there could have been a lot more to it, but I still liked it. :)

I'm excited to see what Ubisoft Montreal does with the new Prince of Persia game. I loved the previous trilogy.

DOH! Never played that one.

Prince of Persia does look really interesting, you can bet that's a game we will be covering on the show. :)

Yeah, you said that in the show. You should. You can get it for the Xbox and the 360, as well as the PSP. Heck, I think it's also on the PS2.
