EG Episode 8

Postby Dave on Fri Oct 10, 2008 12:50 pm

It's up everyone. Let us know what you thought about the episode or discuss anything that we did in the episode. I have a special guest this episode, Shannon from Hermit Bob's Anime Podcast fills in for Tim.

There seems to be an issue with getting the show from iTunes atm. Everytime I try downloading it, I get an error. :(

Was able to listen to it today, and I enjoyed the show. Shannon did a great job filling in for Tim. I'm a huge Johnny Depp fan, but I'm not so sure if he's the right fit for Tonto, and the thought of George Clooney as the Lone Ranger makes me absolutely cringe. Think I'll have to pass on that one!

Thanks Dave for the huge plug for Doomcast! I'll be adding EG to the links page on the Doomcast website, and making a post about it on the forums. :)

Thanks Ty. I appreciate the feed back. I think I will try and have Shannon on again sometime when Tim is unavailable. I also plan to have the other hosts of HB's anime podcast on sometime as well.

If you ever need another fill-in for Tim, I'd be happy to help, and that's for both EG and Crossroads. :)

Well Crossroads is in my hands and you have to audition too.

I'm sure Dave will be more than happy to have you on E-Geekly, tho.

Ya Audition is definitely the best program for editing out there. It's what we use for Doomcast.

No, he meant you would have to audition to be on his podcast. And, considering how I knocked it out the park, that's a high bar to clear. ;)

I smell a competition! j/k

But like I said, we use it for Doomcast, so I have it. :)

It does however sound like you guys record your shows differently from the way we do it though. Are you recording your own tracks, then the person doing the editing combines them? For ours, we got a couple studio mics hooked to a mixer, and the mixer then sends it straight to Audition. We're trying to get some sound proof boxes to encase the mics in order to increase our sound quality.

Man, Crossroads must be really awesome if everyone fights for a position on this show. :D

Keep fighting, monkeys!

Of course it is, Crossroads is the podcast that led me here. :) But I must concede victory to Justin, since he's already been on hehe.

Which reminds me, pretty soon we'll be doing interviews on Doomcast. All of you are invited on to talk about your respective shows, and if you wanna appear on the whole show and talk some games with us, that's fine too. :)

I don't know too much about games, but I'd love to come on sometime and guest host, if you'd like.

Once we're set up to have guests, you're welcome to come on our show anytime you like Tim. :) Everyone else here at Geek Lounge is also welcome. I know we intend to get Justin on as well, and also some of the other podcasts that we promote. I just have a few kinks to work out on my end, then we'll be ready for guests. :)

Dude, I've already tossed my hat into that ring. Just let me know when you want me on. Right now I'm playing Rock Band 2 and Saint's Row 2.
